Letters, Brussels, 1842-1859.

Calamatta's lengthy, detailed letters discuss the market for engravings, authentication of works of art, his professorship at the Brera in Milan, and the exile of his architect friend Pietro Camporese. Two brief missives are directed to a Parisian lawyer cancelling an appointment and to the Prefect of Studies at the Athénée royale regarding Calamatta's study travel to Rome the previous year, with a invitation to come view his new engravings after the great masters.
